
The Chicago Cubs are a professional baseball franchise from Chicago, Illinois. They are members and currently the back-to-back champions of the Central Division of Major League Baseball's National League. The team started in 1876 as the Chicago White Stockings by a William A. Hulbert. This last year, 2008, was famous for its 100-year anniversary of a World Series Championship. The Chicago Cubs have played their home games at Wrigley Field since 1914, which makes it the second oldest ballpark behind Fenway Park in Boston (1912). |
